Privacy & your estimate request

What we collect

When you request an estimate, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, phone number, email address and the kind of basement project you are planning. We also record the page you sent the request from and, if you arrived from an advertisement, the advertising reference included in that link.

When you call the number shown on these pages, your call is connected through a call-tracking number. We record your phone number, the time and length of the call, and the advertisement or page that led to it. Calls may be recorded and transcribed; you will hear a notice at the start of the call.

How we use it

Onyx Basements uses these details to contact you about your project and to prepare your estimate. Your request is delivered to the Onyx Basements office by email and text message and is saved in the customer and lead records Onyx uses to follow up. We do not sell your information.

Who handles it for us

These pages and Onyx’s advertising are run by Merged Media, Onyx’s marketing agency, which keeps a record of each request so that none is lost. The service providers involved are HighLevel (customer records and notifications), Google Sheets and Zapier (lead tracker), CallRail (call tracking), Google (advertising and analytics), Vercel (website hosting) and Supabase (request records). Some of these providers process information outside Canada, including in the United States.

Advertising measurement and cookies

These pages use Google Ads and Google Analytics to measure how many enquiries our advertising produces. After you send a request, your email address and phone number are converted into a scrambled code (hashed) in your browser, and that code is sent to Google so the request can be matched to the advertisement that led to it. Google and CallRail store cookies in your browser for this purpose; the CallRail cookie, which keeps the phone number you see consistent between visits, lasts up to six months.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The pages and the estimate form still work without them.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as needed to respond to your request and to maintain our business records, and no longer than necessary for those purposes.
